3 Reasons Why You're Not Where You Want To Be

You want to go to the next level in your career, your business, your relationship. You clearly see where you want to be. It seems like it's within arm's reach. But for some reason you haven't been able to grasp it or break through. Others are making strides and ascending to new heights while you're in the same spot. If they can do it, surely you can do it....right?

Unfortunately, all paths to the top are not created equal. Trailblazers can show their path and share their lessons, but your journey is as unique as you are. If you've been hitting a wall and not making progress, it's time for self-reflection. Consider these 3 reasons:

Reason #1: You have more to learn. Your aspirations will require more of you even before you arrive. This means NOW is the time to learn! Although your focus may be on formal education or acquiring certain skills, don't overlook the value of learning patience, self-control and humility. Next level access may not be granted until you've shown evidence of what's required to thrive at higher altitudes.

Reason #2: Your assignment is not complete. You have a responsibility to your current assignment. Your talents and gifts may be needed for this particular time. Do you have unfinished business that's weighing you down? Don't abandon your post if the job is not done. Make a plan, finish strong, and close the chapter!

Reason #3: You need to help someone. Your present state may not be about you at all. You have a wealth of knowledge and experience that can be passed on to someone else. One of the best ways to assess your mastery in anything is by your ability to teach what you know. By sharing your expertise, you will prepare others for success before you move on.

Question: Which reason is holding you back from reaching the next level?
