This week is almost over. You’ve been running at full speed the entire time. From one thing to the next, you’re doing the best you can to manage everything on your plate. But have you taken a minute to just be still?

Finding time to be still may seem like just another thing on your never-ending to-do list. We try to squeeze so much into the days and weeks, it may be difficult to find a sliver of time to shut out the world.

Although it may seem like Mission: Impossible, setting aside quiet time on a regular basis can be time well spent.

1. You can reflect on your past. Thinking of how far you’ve come to present-day can be a source of inspiration to keep moving forward.

2. You can rest in your present. Sometimes you just need to revel in the moment and value the stillness. As a mom and a wife, I cherish the moments when the house is quiet.

3. You can envision your future. With daily demands pressing upon you, it can be hard to see past them to get a view of what’s next. Those quiet, still moments may allow you to bring the future into focus. Growth can happen even in the midst of stillness.

Question: How do you silence the noise and grab moments of stillness in your busy life?

“Growing Still”

Planted firm in the ground, my roots have grown strong, Penetrating deep into society’s crust, my mentality is toned. As I’ve grown onward and up, my numb roots can now feel, Spreading my seeds of progression – I no longer grow still.

Still I grow, continuing my journey down a path quite unknown. Breaking ground, learning lessons, germinating all that I have sown. While some fruits lay dormant, others spoil rotten to the core. Replacing my errors, recycled instances yield better and more.

My shade is rich with vitality, quick to envelop my fears. Once ignored traits to branch out… I leaf through in ripe years.

Growing still was my nature towards a fate that seemed sealed, Maturation has uprooted my base, as I remain growing still.
